- Find your eSIM's ICCID Log in to escapesim.com and open My eSIMs. The ICCID is on your eSIM's card (tap it to copy). It's also in your install email under "eSIM Serial (ICCID)". Note the last 4 digits.
- Open Settings, then General On your iPhone, open Settings and tap General.
- Tap About Tap About, at the top of General.
- Scroll down and compare each ICCID Scroll to the bottom. There's a section for each line that's turned on, headed by its label. If an ICCID ends in your 4 digits, that's your EscapeSIM line: skip to step 9 to name it. No match? It's switched off; carry on.
- Open Settings, then Mobile About only lists lines that are turned on. Settings › Mobile (Cellular in some regions) lists every eSIM on your iPhone, including the ones that are off.
- Turn off a line you're not using Your iPhone can only have 2 lines on at once. Tap an old travel eSIM and switch off Turn on this Line. Leave your Primary line on so calls and texts still reach you.
- Turn on the next eSIM Go back, tap an eSIM that's off and switch on Turn on this Line.
- Check About again Go back to Settings › General › About. The line you turned on now has its own section. If its ICCID ends in your 4 digits, you've found it. If not, repeat steps 6 and 7 with the next eSIM.
- Give it a name you'll recognise In Settings › Mobile, tap your EscapeSIM line, then Mobile Plan Label. Type a custom label, like "EscapeSIM Japan".
- Use it for mobile data Go to Settings › Mobile › Mobile Data and tick your EscapeSIM line. Leave Allow Mobile Data Switching off, so your Primary line isn't used for data abroad.
- Turn on Data Roaming In Settings › Mobile, tap your EscapeSIM line and switch on Data Roaming. Do this for your EscapeSIM only: leave it off on your Primary line so your home carrier can't charge you roaming.
- No more guessing Your EscapeSIM line now shows by name in Settings › Mobile and carries your mobile data. Keep it installed: top-ups go onto this same eSIM, so there's no new QR code to scan.
