Yes. You can purchase an eSIM for someone else, such as your wife, partner, child, friend, or family member, from your own EscapeSIM account.

It does not matter which phone or account the eSIM is purchased from. What matters is which device the eSIM is installed on.

After purchasing, you can install the eSIM on the other person’s phone by forwarding the QR code email to them so they can open it on their own phone, or by having them scan the QR code directly from your phone/device.

Please make sure the eSIM is installed on the correct device. Each eSIM can only be installed on one device, so if you accidentally install it on your phone first, it may not be possible to move it to another phone afterwards.

If you are buying multiple eSIMs for different people, we recommend installing each one carefully on the correct device before moving on to the next.

Some eSIM packages support top-ups. If your package is eligible, you’ll see a Top-Up button next to that eSIM on the My eSIMs page (when you're logged into your account).

Just tap Top-Up, select the package you want, and complete checkout as usual. Your new data will automatically be added once the top-up is processed.

If you don’t see a Top-Up option, that specific eSIM/package type does not support top-ups.

As long as you're in one of the supported countries and you're in a metro city, your eSIM may take a little bit of time (anywhere between 1-10 minutes) to actually connect to the provider.

Most devices will allow you to have multiple eSIMs installed but you will only be able to activate one at a time. iPhone models starting from the iPhone 13 allow you to use 2 eSIMs at the same time.

Your data plan starts as soon as you activate it on your phone. We recommend that you scan and activate your eSIM right before you travel so you will be connected when you land.

When you activate your SIM, the number of days in the plan will start to count down. If you are not in the country or region that the eSIM works in, you will not be able to access the data and you will not lose any of the data in the plan *this however may vary on the eSIM purchased, please check the product details to confirm

Purchasing the eSIM does not start the plan. Please plan to use it within 3 months though!

Occasionally, you might find that an eSIM is lingering in the activation phase. This typically occurs if you've set up an eSIM but haven't yet entered the country or region it's designated for.

Rest assured that your eSIM is correctly installed, regardless of whether it shows “activating” or “activation failure.” The activation will complete once you arrive at your intended location and are in the area covered by the network.

Keep in mind that while the eSIM is stuck on “activating,” you can still access other features of your device that don't depend on network connectivity.

As soon as you arrive at your destination and your device connects to the local network coverage, the eSIM should successfully activate, allowing you to begin using it.

Most of the eSIMs on the market are data only, due to regulatory requirements.

However, there are are some available which include calls and texts, it's just not as common, regardless – all of your favorite apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook and Instagram work just fine with data only!
