Installing Your eSIM on iPhone

Before you start, make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi — your iPhone needs an internet connection to download the eSIM profile.

Step 1: Open eSIM settings

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Cellular (US) or Mobile Service (AU/UK/EU).
  3. Tap Add eSIM (AU/UK) or Add Cellular Plan (US).

Step 2: Scan your QR code

  1. Tap Use QR Code.
  2. Hold your phone up to the QR code in your EscapeSIM confirmation email.
  3. Tap Continue when your phone detects the code.
  4. Tap Add Cellular Plan to confirm.

Can't scan the code? Tap Enter Details Manually instead and type the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your email.

Step 3: Label and configure your eSIM

  1. Give the plan a label — EscapeSIM works well.
  2. When asked for Default Line (calls & SMS), keep your regular SIM selected.
  3. When asked for Cellular Data (US) / Mobile Data (AU/UK), select the new EscapeSIM plan.

Step 4: Enable Data Roaming

  1. Go back to Cellular / Mobile Service.
  2. Tap your EscapeSIM plan — it may appear as Travel, Business, or whatever name it installed as.
  3. Toggle Data Roaming ON.

Step 5: Test your connection

  1. Turn Wi-Fi OFF.
  2. Open Safari and try loading google.com.
