Which Apple devices support eSIM?

Check if your device supports eSIM — most phones from 2019 on do.
We have confirmed 39 Apple models that support eSIM. The newest include iPhone 17e, iPhone 17 Pro Max & iPhone 17 Pro.
To check a Apple phone yourself, dial *#06#. If an EID number appears, the phone has eSIM. You can also look in Settings for an option to add an eSIM or a mobile plan.
The phone also has to be carrier-unlocked. A phone bought on a contract may be locked to its network, so ask your carrier before you travel.

⚠ Before you buy
The following Apple devices DO NOT have eSIM capability:
· iPhone devices from Mainland China.
· iPhone devices from Hong Kong and Macao (except for the iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone SE 2020, and iPhone XS).
For iPhones and iPads purchased in TURKEY:
· If you're setting up your device after June 23, 2020, your eSIM will activate after installation — contact your carrier if you don't have eSIM enabled.
· For devices set up before the June 23, 2020, follow the steps in this link to activate your eSIM. The procedure may require you to erase your device's data – please make sure you back up your device beforehand.
· Only iPad devices with Wi-Fi + Cellular features are supported.
