  1. Find your eSIM's ICCID Log in to escapesim.com and open My eSIMs. The ICCID is on your eSIM's card (tap it to copy). It's also in your install email under "eSIM Serial (ICCID)". Note the last 4 digits.
  2. Open Settings, then Connections On your phone, open Settings and tap Connections.
  3. Tap SIM manager Tap SIM manager. It lists every eSIM on your phone, including the ones that are switched off.
  4. Tap an eSIM and check its ICCID Tap one of your eSIMs. Its page shows the ICCID, even when the eSIM is switched off. If it ends in your 4 digits, that's your EscapeSIM.
  5. Not it? Check the next one Go back to SIM manager and tap the next eSIM, until you find the ICCID that ends in your 4 digits.
  6. Give it a name you'll recognise On your EscapeSIM's page, tap Edit name and icon, type something like "EscapeSIM Japan" and tap Save.
  7. Make sure it's switched on In SIM manager, check your EscapeSIM's switch is on. Only 2 SIMs can be on at once, so if two are already on, switch off an old travel eSIM you're not using first. Keep your home SIM on so calls and texts still reach you.
  8. Use it for mobile data In SIM manager, under Preferred SIMs, tap Mobile data and choose your EscapeSIM. Leave Calls and Messages on your home SIM.
  9. Turn on data roaming Go to Settings › Connections › Mobile networks, tap Data roaming for your EscapeSIM and choose All networks. Leave roaming off on your home SIM so your home carrier can't charge you.
  10. No more guessing Your EscapeSIM now shows by name in SIM manager and carries your mobile data. Keep it installed: top-ups go onto this same eSIM, so there's no new QR code to scan.
